Kia ora everyone,

Firstly, I’d like to start by once again thanking our parents for keeping the school up-to-date with reporting absences. It really is helpful and very much appreciated.

The attendance rate for today has moved to 80% with a number of students returning to school. However, we also have some new cases to report. At this stage we will remain at Level 1 of our COVID response plan and I have attached the plan to this email for you to review. We currently have 4 staff members who are household contacts isolating and we are able to cover this but, if numbers of staff off school increases much further then we may need to move to Stage 2. We will review this again on Wednesday and I will keep you posted.

Here’s our daily summary:

Total Positive Cases: 22 students

Current Cases: 13 students

Recovered students back at school: 9

Current Isolating Household Contacts: 8 students and 4 staff members

Remember, please get in touch if you have any questions or concerns. We are happy to help.

Take care,

Jo Hunnikin

Principal/Tumuaki
