Kia ora koutou,

Today, we have had confirmation from the Ministry of Education that RAT kits will be supplied to schools. If a student becomes unwell at school with COVID symptoms, they will need to be collected by a parent and the test kit will be provided to the parent to administer at home. We will not be able to administer RAT tests at school.

The attendance rate for today has remained at 75%.

Here’s our daily summary:

Total Positive Cases: 15 students (Apologies, yesterday there was only 1 positive case and not 2, as was reported, and no new cases today)

Current Cases: 9 students

Recovered students back at school: 6

Current Isolating Household Contacts: 11 students and 1 staff member

I have included some reminders about isolation and testing rules for those with COVID and those who are isolating household contacts.

Remember, please get in touch if you have any questions or concerns. We are happy to help.

Take care,

Jo Hunnikin
